My name is Ali Schaefer. I am the founder and principal designer of Ali & Co. Designs, a full-service interior design firm located in Belleville, Illinois. After receiving my degree in Interior Design from Murray State University, I purchased Carole Hiatt’s design business and founded Hiatt Design Associates. Today, I am beyond excited to be the Ali behind Ali & Co. Designs, servicing clients around the country and creating beautiful - and livable - spaces unique to each individual client.

With nearly ten years of experience under my belt, I take great pride in the relationships I’ve built with my clients-turned-friends, and vendors (friendors?). I truly give my all to my business and I welcome the challenge of incorporating different design styles while always staying true to my signature Ali-style (think: white walls, earthy textures, and bold pops of mixed-metals).

I currently live in Millstadt, Illinois with my husband Josh in the home that we built. Building our home, I was able to put myself in my client’s shoes, seeing first-hand the ups-and-downs of construction. Truly, I get it, and I will help you through it, one half-caf at a time.

Meet The Team

  • Sarah joined the Ali & Co. team in October of 2021. A graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Journalism, Sarah started her career in Marketing and Communications. A creative at heart, Sarah developed a passion for interior design doing a full renovation of her 1920’s Craftsman home. As they say, the rest is history!

  • Erin joined the Ali & Co. team bringing to us her wealth of knowledge in business and organization. Erin handles all office management including new client inquiries and billing and delivery management.
